All schools start out unaccredited.

The Houston Academy is still in the process of becoming the ONLY Accredited Conservatory in Houston, Texas. The process for accreditation by an agency that is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation takes several years after the school is in full operation to complete. Accreditation reviews focus on educational quality, institutional integrity, and educational improvements.

However, the true recognition of any program comes from its acceptance by the professional community. Our students are already being cast in commercials, movies, and theater productions.

Until we complete our accreditation process to award an Associates degree, we will be awarding Certificates of Completion in Professional Dramatic Arts.
