GENERAL BROADWAY MUSICAL CLASS INFORMATION
Join a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a professional training atmosphere where you will learn the skills needed to be a “triple threat” in the theatre. You will perform in a professional working studio. The series gives young actors a real opportunity to showcase all aspects of training. The program emphasizes self-discovery, intellectual, physical and emotional development to create a sound technique. The curriculum allows students time to test, to play and vary importantly to find comfort on stage. The Broadway Musical Series rehearsals are held on Saturdays. The semesters run August to December and January to May.

SENIOR COMPANY- AGES 13-19
Dear Parents and Cast of Golden Years,
We want to thank EVERYONE that auditioned for Houston Academy of Dramatic Arts. Casting was not easy this semester and we apologize for the delay. As Senior Company members we searched for the brightest and most talent students in the Houston and surrounding areas as their role is to serve as an example to our Jr. Company of BMS performers. We look forward to a fast paced, talented busting show!
A few reminders:
- HEAD SHOTS are tomorrow, January 28th. You will need to wear a solid colored shirt with no logo or pattern. Girls please natural hair away from the face and little make-up.
- If you miss Head Shot day , the make-up date is February 11th.
- MANDATORY PARENT MEETING with Child starts at 10:00 A.M. TOMORROW.
- Bio’s will be completed tomorrow and turned in.
- Please bring BMS packet with you, filled out and ready to turn in.
- Please bring a sack lunch until snack bar re-opens this semester
- The cast list with shows IS NOT the order of the show.
Again, thank you to all that auditioned. If you were not cast please call the office for audition slot refund. Please consider our other class offerings and we hope to see you re-audition in the future.

JUNIOR COMPANY 7-12
Congratulations to all of you! What a great round of auditions and call backs. For those of you that have been studying in our Voice Academy it was very apparent the changes in your voice. We were very impressed with how well you were prepared for the auditions as well as the call backs.
Please note that there is a mandatory parent meeting this Saturday, January 21st at 9:00 A.M. We will go over the BMS packet, Bio’s, Volunteer Packet, head shots, T-shirts, production week, cast photo’s and production shots.
We look forward to seeing all of you and thank you so much for sharing your children with the staff at Houston Academy of Dramatic Arts. We are going to have a fantastic and meaningful show filled with lots of laughter while learning! “Oh the things you can think!”
Ensemble Cast: “Seussical” is an ensemble show. In almost every number, everyone will be on stage playing multiple roles with small costume changes regardless of the role they are cast in with the exception of “Horton” and “Cat in the Hat”. As we are going through rehearsals solo’s will be assigned in the ensemble numbers for there are many.
